Not only am I busy with work, I am workign from remote location. Since I dont have access to my cubicle (except via the slow VNC to my GIMP) I havent posted for long time.

Anyway I thought that I should atleast clarify this post.

It is neither underwater nor an animal/insect. This is a plant which is in my campus (ssh!!! if my folks get to know, they will ask me to bring down the site). It is just outside my building and it took me more than two years to notice it.

Rajaram, if that was the case I would have stayed at a safe distance.

Thanks Shastri

Anu, did I reveal the ans to you b4?

Prasad, the title was what came to my mind when I first shot the photograph. So you can call it as my first guess.

Me, It was your post which made me stop my work and comment here. Now where in NG did you notice the snap? I would like to sue those folks. I promise you 5% just for that info :)

I have shifted to portraits these days. They fall under two categories - snaps shot at the spur of the moment with the subject completely unaware of it and second in which I ask them prior permission. The former is typically good since they are caught unaware and its natural wheras the latter is "posed"/artificial. I cant post the former without offending them (though legally it is ok to shoot any one in public place) and latter usually doesnt turn up good.

D, its surely not an under water creature. I see some kind of green at the background.some tree around..a coconut one ? I think its a strange flower emerging from huge cactus.I loved the purple at the tip.good capture!
