Destiny

Destiny

Quote: Yours Truly
Photographer: Thats me

Watch out, for the path which leads you to hell might also be the one which leads you to heaven - just a difference of 180 degrees.

After several attempts spread over a week, I managed to capture this. The goal was to obtain both a decent light as well as minimum number of vehicles.

The pic posted today is very clear and beautiful. So are the rest of them.

The last line of today's saying can be slightly rephrased to: "for the conscious to rule thy direction"

Thanks,
Savitha

Hi Readers

Sorry for deleting the last post. Nope I am not a censor board or something. I had mistakenly published a post as anonymous. So I wanted to rectify it.

Hi Savitha

Thanks for the feedback and nice suggestions.

"thy direction" definitely sounds much better. But I am not too sure whether "for the conscious" is acceptable. Conscious sees to be an adjective. So I had put that in front of noun. Dont know whether artistic liberty can be invoked to use it.

Yep picking up words, amalgamating and mutating on the go.

Hi All

Sorry. Yesterday I couldnt spare enough time to update the comments. Well savitha had suggested some nice changes to the quote:

"It would then be appropriate to replace thy with thine......
.....By the conscious is meant, those who are alert/ people who are aware"

Let me add. If I could pen my thoughts so well, ............... [Sorry too confidential] :-)

"Thy" is used in the sense of "your"

To say "for the conscious thy to rule the direction" doesn't quite make sense to me... its like "for the conscious your to rule the direction"

You might prefer to remove the second "thy" altogether.

Well, if e.e.cummings could do it, why not you? :-)

Very good pic.

Hi Erotome

I havent reached the calibre of you or Meera. I am still groping in the dark.

Shouldnt "thy" polymorph a bit or should we use it statically in all context? I am not sure. I invoked the poetic license/liberty to mutate and adapt the meaning of "thy" for the context.

But then as my mother "Rajini" once pointed out, I just love the words "thee" and "thy". I will make a conscious effort to avoid these in the future (or atleast minimize them)

Still I am trying to have my say with the words. With all your feedbacks, I am trying to improve. Please bear with me till then.....

Meera and I are still toying with what we can do... :-)

You are very good in what you do (which I can only know through your blog) so do continue thrilling us...

Sorry Eroteme. I cant disagree more.

Yours is a nice site though it would be better if you update it more often. As far as Meeras blog is concerned, well I can only echo the sentiments of majority of the readers. Its perhaps one of the best non-techie blog I have come across. Only reason it isnt topping Kiruba's blog is bcoz she posts only once a week.

And if you want to know as to what I am doing may be you can drop in to Baejaar I havent updated recently but should give you a glimpse.

ha ha ha ha :-))

Disagree with what, Sir?
I didn't say anything agreeable or otherwise...

All I said was that we are toying with what we have... On our scale what we write is still a little short of the mark (and sometimes way off the mark)

I also said you are "very good" (were you disagreing with that? :-o )

'I also said you are "very good"' & "Toying with what we have" - you can make one mistake but not two....

"On our scale what we write is still a little short of the mark" Hmm. True. I shouldnt have benchmarked you people against ordinary mortals. Next time will do so against Ruskin Bond and R.K.Laxman :-)(They are my favorite indian authors)

If you dont trust me, why dont we have a poll and let the users decide?

My gawd! :-))
I shall take your word for anything as soon as you raise the sword of polls against me!!!

But poll on what? Whether Dheepak is good at what he does or not? I really enjoy your stuff and frankly no poll will convince me against it!!

You are one person whom I find it really difficult to convince. Take it as a compliment.

U know for what, I meant that poll. Still if you do enjoy these snaps, thanks a lot.

Santosh, the initial set of pictures including this one were all shot within my office campus. As far as the ones which are not in the campus, I usually mention the location.
