Shy

Flowers

Quote: Full many a flower is born to blush unseen,
And waste its sweetness on the desert air.
Author: Thomas Gray
Photographer: Kalesh

Havent we seen this before?

"gilli-thanda" kids rivaling our cricketers in hand-eye co-ordination

Women "cat-walking" with pots of water in a dusty desert

Slogging in the fields, village "RJs" breaking into an impromptu song to forget their tiredness

.......

I read the title and the picture was still loading. SHY...
Then when the picture loaded I found the shyness so stark and clear. Wonderful pic and a nice title...

Dheepak, have you seen the impromptu singing by the village RJs in real life? I thought it only happened in the films!

Lovely picture

Thanks Eroteme

Uma, yes I have. Even though I dont know whether it was composed then and there. It could have been an old folk song.

Love the picture, so cheery colors. But dont agree with the statement, every life has a purpose.

I cant say anyting on the quote ..life and it ways are much beyond me...I dont know if i am more deserving than thousands of poor or less deserving than thousand richer than me..

I can just say we all are unique and as kaleidoscope there's purpose behind every thing ...

I was waiting for Kalesh to reply. Guess he must have been busy. Anyway thanks to him for the nice picture though controversial one (cant afford to say why it is but long time readers could have realized it)

Arathi and Niki, Thanks.

Enchant, Challenges can bring the best in us. But sometimes they never get showcased.

Kaleidoscope and Anubhav,
Every life does have a purpose. No doubt about that. Just wondering whether the purpose is fulfilled or to rephrase it do they get proper opportunity to fulfill it.

Also Kaleidoscope thanks for dropping by.

All life has a purpose? Isn't that something we love to believe in merely to keep ourselves going? It would be so horrible to hear that my life has no purpose!! :-))
But I really think that is merely our own whim. Life really has no purpose. To think that we as absolutely insignificant individuals have a role as glamorous and grand to play, is ... well, flattering ourselves too much isn't it?
We live a life and invent purposes.

Thanks Iyer. If you do have a blog, leave the Url in the comments.

Eroteme, Its perspective. May be for us, the individual purpose may or may not be there. But there are several other planes to look at. One is "divine" which I would prefer to stay well clear off. The other one which I would like to point out is the nature and its eco-system where every living being and almost all non-living thing also has some purpose. If they dont, most often then not evolution - "survival of fittest" takes them out.
