Marital Bliss

Quote by Ann Landers Marital Bliss

Quote: Ann Landers
Photography: Amarjeet Kaur Virdi

For the last few days, I have noticed that some of my friends are a bit depressed or philosophical. To lighten up the spirits for all of you, I am posting this.

This post cannot help you in finishing off your exams in style, clearing up tumultuous relationships, making contracts and billing presentations interesting. It cant even help in getting through the job interviews but atleast I hope it plants a smile in your face.

This inviting cottage was framed by Amarjeet at Dalhousie. (I hope I got the spelling right) I have always wanted to goto Kashmir, Andaman by ship, Nepal/Tibet/Bhutan, Manali (not the one near chennai ;-) Till it materializes, I am travelling via these snaps. Thanks Amarjeet for contributing this one.

Ah! I love presentations, as long as we are allowed to take "notes" ;-)

I second the resolution to permit 'notes'

And I dont mind presentations, if it is hosted in a big dimmed hall and you get to sit in the last few rows.....

Ashok,

The relationship is a bit abstract - ponder over it for a minute or two.

Eventhough I neither have too much experience in parties nor insider knowledge about general relationship/marital trends, I do hope that whatever i wrote wasnt true.

It was meant to be a joke - but surprisingly I have recieved several emails saying that its apt. Let me pray that things improve soon in our society.

Bhutan sounds like a nice place. The Deccan Herald (in Bangalore) recently carried an article about it. I was floored...

Nice pic, Amarjeet.
Nice quote, Ann.

Nice post, D. :-)

Esther Pauline Lederer was a famous columnist in Chicago Times in which she published under the pen name of Ann Landers. Unfortunately she passed away in 2002 at the age of 84. Let her soul rest in peace.

Thanks Erotome for your compliments. I am sure Amarjeet will be reading this too.

Very cute. I enjoyed it. And yes, I sometimes find it true. But as with most things in marriage, we work it out. In true marital bliss, the one who wants to leave will want to stay for the other and the one who wants to stay will want to go.

Sonson, Welcome to this series.

Nice to hear that. Infact that is still my impression about marriage and its sanctity. Thanks for reassuring the same.

Also thanks for dropping in.

You should have titled the post Martial Bliss ;-)

The French have a saying about marriage being like a besieged fortress: Those on the outside wanting to get in and those on the inside wanting to get out :-)

Excellent effort. Keep it up!

I have two questions :)

1.Which digicam have you been using to click?(&resolution,Model)
2.Which photo software do you use to write the captions on the photos?
