Sunset

Sunset

Quote: The setting sun, and music at the close,
As the last taste of sweets, is sweetest last,
Writ in remembrance more than things long past.
Author: Shakespeare
Photographer: Dheepak Ra

This was one of my favorite snaps of the recent Pondichery trip. After all I had to sacrifice sleep and wake up at 5am!!!

And no thats neither me nor my friend. It was some unfortunate guy whom I decided to capture - yeah without his knowledge.

Snap is of sunrise and quote is of sunset. Isn't that contradictory?

Time and again I have met some friend of mine talking about the glorious sunrise and sunset in KanyaKumari. The photograph captures the essence of their words. Have to experience it sometime soon.

Thanks Lakshmi.

Thanks Nithya.

Anonymous, you are absolutely right. Its a sunrise alright. But when I first showed it to my colleagues they said that it looked more like sunset. So I decided to file under sunset itself.

Ashok,
Remember in our final year in school there was a trip to Pondy for one day "study tour". I skipped it. Even for several years after Pondy never tempted me. After all I assumed that except for the french influence, its more or less same as chennai. However this time, I decided to check it out and I enjoyed it. May be that is bcoz I am going to a beach after long, long time.

Deeps, I really wonder as to whats going on in his mind.

Thanks Rajesh. I did.

Meera, Thanks a lot. And trust me, it took lot of effort to capture this guy who was wary of me.

Ranga, and in the words....

Vinu, To admit frankly I had great fun out there. I never "worked". The day I consider this as Work, i may not continue.
